Skyler and Lesley were tops in 2001

Skyler began his specials career in early 2000 and ended the year as
the number five Beardie in breed points. He took an Award of Merit at the 2001
Westminster Kennel Club show, and was Best in Specialty at the 2000 Great Lakes
Bearded Collie Club specialty show.
In 2001, Skyler won two all-breed Best in Shows, and won fifteen
herding groups. Our proudest acomplishment was to win Best of Breed at the 2001
BCCA National Specialty on October 7. Skyler finished 2001 number 1 in breed
points (Pedigree Award) and number 2 in group points.
Skyler retired from the show ring after the 2002 Westminster Show,
though he will still see some action at specialty shows. Skyler took Best of
Breed at the Chicagoland Bearded Collie Club Regional Specialty in June 2002.
This was his third Specialty win. Skyler was Best Veteran at the 2003
BCCA National Specialty.
